You'd Never Believe

You'd never believe me if I told you that I grew up in a rough environment with my mom, but it's true. Here's what happened.

Ever since I could remember it was always me and my mom. I remember her carting me around all the time sleeping in random peoples houses and alleyways. It felt like forever once she actually started getting back on her feet. I used to hate having to wake up before the sun and start walking to the next warm place or having to walk for hours and hours in a day. It did teach me a lot of things though. I learned that things just weren't given to you and that if you want to do something you have to travel the distance to achieve it. But the most important thing I learned was that my mom was always strong even when she wanted to be weak and always used her heart no matter how cruel people are. It showed me how to be the strongest I can be while always using my heart no matter how bad I get stepped on.
